What Julie brings to her work is her life experience and healing/spiritual journey. Her way of life has been somewhat freewheeling: moving around, traveling alone, a Jill of all trades, went to college later in life, and likes to stay open to new ventures and opportunities. She has experienced the stigma in her younger years of remaining single and childless by choice.
Julie has journaled for forty-five years and has been working with her dreams for over thirty years. With her love of nature since childhood, Julie strongly believes feeling the connection with nature and divine energy is just one key to recovering who we are and achieving personal fulfillment. She believes much of what we have been taught in society has decimated who we truly are and what we long for is to feel our own essence.

Julie has taught Life Skills with Native awareness to First Nations people recovering from addictions. Julie is Metis and has years of experience in Native culture including attending ceremonies, sitting with and working alongside elders and medicine people, and participating in Native women’s hand drumming and singing. She has also facilitated talking circles, an ancient integral part of the Native culture. Julie found much healing in the culture with finding her voice and learning ways of connection with spirit and our Earth Mother. Julie has an education in women experiencing violence which gave her a deeper awareness of the host of issues that women around the world face. Julie has also run spiritual/wellness retreats.
Julie is passionate about the inner world of the soul and in shifting one’s perception to gain self-empowerment and self-actualization.
She enjoys writing about subjects she feels a special akin to in hope to inspire others on their journeys while she explores her own journey that is still a work in progress. Julie writes magazine articles, blogs, non-fiction books, and children’s books.
Julie believes when the soul is nurtured and acknowledged, our perception is altered and we can then experience a shift that can change everything.
Julie has now returned to her roots in beautiful British Columbia where she was born and raised.
“Happiness and stillness go hand-in-hand and they run deep – like the lake of sapphire this morning. That was what I needed to see at that moment – the depth and calm of soul.” A Gift of Presence
