We have far too many thoughts going through our mind every day to make it possible to monitor all of them throughout the day. So, how can we be aware of what we are thinking throughout the day?
How can we have more control over what we manifest?
I find a good way is to pay attention to my feelings. My feelings give me a pretty good clue as to what is going on in my thoughts, as thoughts precede feelings. If I want to know what thoughts are effecting my life, I need to pay attention to my feelings.
Beware of your emotions
A good example of my own is when I started a business in house cleaning some years ago. At that time, I had made the decision out of frustration of working for others. I went into the business with an attitude that I disliked what I did because I felt it had no prestige. I was in a different frame of mind then. However, I just wanted to be on my own. I had made a choice based on what I didn’t want which was working for someone else. The result was resentment, frustration, and fatigue even though I continued the business for many years.
Today, after an absence from this business and doing other things, I have started a new business in the same field. The difference this time is that I am going into it with a whole new attitude. I see and appreciate all the business has to offer me, including my freedom and autonomy (of which I was well aware in the past but didn’t appreciate). All it has taken is a shift in perception.
I also need to be careful not to be discouraged by apparent setbacks. As I take action, I might be guided on a little detour from my desire but I need to stay the course. I will eventually be guided to where I need to be if I trust the process.
As the old saying, “Be careful what you pray for,” tells it very clearly. I have come to see this as a truth, in a very in-my-face kind of way. I was shocked to realize that all through the years I had gotten what I had asked for a lot more than I was consciously aware of. I am not the victim I had thought I was. I have more power over what happens than I assume. I am becoming more aware of old programs that have created blocks to manifesting what I truly desire.
Receive joyously
A key factor I have become more aware of is to receive what I desire – joyously. I need to remain open to this.
Now I know that I can change the verdict of what is going on by changing my thoughts. It just takes practice to remain present and aware and this can take some doing.
With this awareness I can carry on into the New Year with faith that things will turn out the way they are meant to without my trying to force anything. I will just let it happen. This is quite a feat for me because I am a professed control freak and this is one program I need to break.
This is what I need to think about in the New Year. The best thing I can do is to follow my heart and stay present – very present.

The most important thing of all on the subject of manifestation is to stay connected to yourself and to Source energy. Be very clear on your desire and refrain from thinking about what you don’t want. Then, stay open to receive joyously what the Source has for you.
